Bootleg Canyon Park Trail Head

This lakeside hiking route follows desert pathways through five historic railway tunnels leading toward the Hoover Dam.

Hemenway Park

This is a wildlife park and patch of greenery in Boulder City. The park is known for its regular herd of wild Rocky Mountain Sheep, which graze in the area. The sheep are used to humans and linger close, though they’re still wild animals and shouldn’t be approached.

Gold Strike Hot Springs Trail Head

This is a rugged, two mile out-and-back hiking trail which incorporates several 20-foot rope climbs to handle steep cliffs and rocky terrain.

Kingman Wash North Mine Road Lookout

This is a maintained backcountry road which runs for about 3.6 mile through hills and desert terrain, eventually leading to impressive overlooks of nearby bluffs and mountains

This is a famed arch bridge which spans the Colorado River, connecting roads between Arizona and Nevada.

Clark County Museum

This is a local history museum with a focus on early Native American inhabitants such as the Paiute people There are also several exhibits focusing on mining, railroads and gambling evolving in the region. The museum includes historic houses recreated as a ghost town.

Fortification Hill

This trail climbs an extinct volcano which overlooks Lake Mead.

Arizona Hot Spring Trailhead

This hike leads to an impressive and dramatic slot canyon which eventually extends to Ringbolt Rapid.. The hike itself is strenuous, but the isolated canyon and unique water features are worth the journey.

Spooky Canyon

This is an excellent short and dark slot canyon which leads into a narrow chasm with unique rock formations

Alabam Statue – Hoover Dam Hero

This unassuming statue depicts Alabam, one of the unsung workers who aided in the Hoover Dam construction project as an sanitation and janitorial specialist. His statue shows the man with a rope of bronze toilet-paper rolls slung across his chest.

White Owl Canyon

This is a popular and challenging 3.8-mile loop trail which leads to unique canyon areas.

Three Kids Mine

This is a unique open-pit manganese mine used to develop military weapons and equipment during World War One. Over the subsequent years with several closings and re-openings, the mine was eventually tapped out. The site now includes open pits, waste rock, ore yard, mill site, and tailings ponds.

Shan-Gri-La Prehistoric Park

This is a free-entry museum filled with an open yard of slightly cartoonish dinosaurs.

Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area

This is a popular hiking zone and protected area which contains the Sloan Petroglyph Site.
