North America
An Overview of North America
North America is the foundation of a modern global superpower, and for most of European history, a completely unknown realm. North America is defined by stunning vistas where ancient glaciers carved dramatic landscapes.
Heartlands are full of vast fields, northern realms are dense with strong forests and deep ice. The coasts swirl with warm, vibrant currents. It is home to the Yellowstone super-volcano, the ruggedly high Rocky Mountains, the rocky plateaus of the Canadian Shield, the Grand Canyon, the Colombia Icefield, Mexico’s chain of underground cenotes and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
Additionally, the histories of Native American Tribes resonate throughout North America. This includes the Aztecs, Iroquois, Dakotas, Inuit, Mayans, Cree and countless others. The Mesa Verde Pueblo structures, Native American mounds, Aztec infrastructure, Olmec ruins and currently thriving cultures add further vibrancy.

Old Sean in North America
By and large, North America is my home. I grew up in the United States Midwest, tracing my way from town to town, mountain chain to mountain chain and finally sea to shining sea. No matter how far I wander, the States call me home for their splendor.
As I’ve spent most of my life here, living in Canada, Mexico or the US while visiting the Caribbean on occasion, my knowledge of this part of the world is fairly strong. I hope the lists above provide insights and aid to fellow travelers visiting my birth-continent.
Please enjoy the directions, recommendations and advice regarding North America in the articles above.
Best regards and excellent trails,
Old Sean
