Cultivating Inspiration

Giving into wanderlust, getting inspired and heading into the vast world is the most enriching activity in life. A person earns adventure, experience, enrichment and exploration once they step forward.

Overall, there is no choice more profound or fulfilling.  Or, at the time, nerve-wracking.

Generally, these articles don’t instruct, but instead help others develop motivation. Inspiration is the very first step towards any action.

Eventually, those traits become the very foundation to starting one’s journey. And finally, they become a catalyst for action.

Best regards and excellent trails,

Old Sean

Old Sean Thoughts

“I’ve always wanted to see the world. Fortunately, my parents would often take me to forests and beaches, where I would clomp on ahead on pudgy feet. Camping trips, road trips, countryside visits, tours to the badlands and walks through caves are all hazy, mythology-like memories from my childhood.

My most treasured memories are from exploring the outdoors. For example, streams by elementary schools became untapped jungles. The biking trail at the bottom of the road held an entire frontier. And visits to the beach always ended in a dousing of saltwater during sandbar discoveries, no matter how careful my parents were.

Eventually, I received my first Pokémon game.

That handheld Gameboy and those ever-wandering series of pixels sealed my fate.

Undoubtedly, having tiny, combat-ready companions was an excellent premise for a game. But freely wandering, seeking out the unknown and accumulating experiences became a bone-deep love of mine.” It went beyond mere exploration. It also gave meaning to the journeys, both real and imagined.

Childhood certainly sculpts us. And inspires us. But there’s something wonderous in casting back memories and realizing “ah-ha, you there. Moment in time, you’ve set me on this wonderful, winding path.

Your history may have such a moment already. Or it might be inbound.

Either way, my hope for you is the same:

Best regards and excellent trails,”
